Thank you for your patience.Īpple announced today that a developer beta version of their new 64-bit macOS Catalina is available to registered developers, with a possible release in the fall. We know how important this is to your business and we’re doing everything in our power to get this done. We will also send an email (to your email address on file) when we have a definitive release date. Please check back to this page for updates.
#ACCOUNTEDGE SUPPORT UPGRADE#
You must not upgrade to Catalina until we have released the new version of AccountEdge. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.Īs our developers continue to work non-stop on AccountEdge compatibility with macOS Catalina, we now recognize it is possible we will not meet the deadline. Again, AccountEdge will not run on Apple’s Catalina operating system. Until then, we strongly advise you to delay upgrading to Catalina. We continue to work around the clock to deliver this massive rewrite and will provide more details on our expected delivery date when we have them. We still do not expect to have our Catalina-compatible AccountEdge upgrade ready in time for that release. As we’ve announced previously, we will not have this version ready for Catalina's release.Īpple has announced that they will release Catalina sometime in October. We have been working on our macOS Catalina compatibility project ever since Apple made their developer roadmap public. This optional upgrade only supports 64-bit applications and the current version of AccountEdge is not 64-bit. Today, Apple released macOS 10.15, Catalina. We recognize these are workarounds and not ideal long-term solutions - we will continue to focus our efforts on a Catalina-compatible version.

We have, however, posted options in case you cannot wait and need to (or already have) upgraded your OS to Catalina, including how to install and use Parallels to use AccountEdge in a macOS environment on your Catalina machine.
#ACCOUNTEDGE SUPPORT UPDATE#
We do not have an update and we still strongly encourage you to delay your upgrade to macOS Catalina until we have released a compatible version of AccountEdge. We will continue to update this page as our work progresses. We still do not have a reliable release date at this time, and unfortunately we do not anticipate a release before the end of the year. A decade long project for Apple, this is a complete revamp of AccountEdge as well, and one in which we have invested years of effort. If you want or need to upgrade to macOS Catalina, which supports only 64-bit apps, please refer to our October 9 update for options.

#ACCOUNTEDGE SUPPORT MAC OS#
IMPORTANT: MAC OS CATALINA COMPATIBILITY STATEMENTĪt this time, AccountEdge remains a 32-bit app. When you select a file in the search results, at the bottom of the list you can view the exact location of the selected file.AccountEdge and Mac OS Catalina (64-bit) Updates If you have multiple results and you still can't find the file you need due to similar names or times, only by opening the file and checking its contents will you be able to determine what data it contains. You can add as many filters as required and set options to refine the search results to get what you need. To do this, click the + icon near the finder Search box. You can further filter the results by looking for files only opened within a number of days. Often you'll need to search for a specific file, but multiple copies of that file may exist on the system. For example, if you enter “Kind:AccountEdge” It will only search for files with ‘AccountEdge’ in the kind of file. You can narrow down the search results by specifying what you're searching for.

As shown below, searching for “AccountEdge Company File” will still show a number of results because the words are found inside other files on the system.

Searching for the entire type of file will not always be helpful. If you click the Kind heading, the results will be sorted, and you can look for AccountEdge Company File or AccountEdge Company LockFile. By default, they'll be displayed in Last Opened date order. The Finder window appears, and the results will be displayed. Type “AccountEdge” into the search box, then click Show All in Finder. First, click the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
